Plantmax2 ft/24w T5 Fluorescent Tube 6500K Grow
The
Plantmax 6500K 24W 4ft florescent light tube is great for your indoor vegetation of plants.
These high
quality T5 HO lamps are excellent for all indoor gardening
applications. Use the color of your choice for the growth phase of your
plants. Mix & match for a full spectrum effect.
For years indoor gardening has been looking for a substitution to expensive HPS
and MH lighting systems. They are cumbersome, expensive, ugly and create
an excessive amount of heat for viable indoor horticulture.
Up until now, if you wanted to grow a robust garden indoors you had to
use either a Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium. With the introduction
of the T5 bulb to the indoor gardening market there is now an alternative. The 3000K and 6500K T5 lights are the proper spectrum
for plant growth. The 6500K bulb is great for vegetative growth, and would be comparable
to a Metal Halide. The 3000K is what you might think of as a bloom/red bulb and would be comparable to a High Pressure Sodium Bulb.
Another great feature is that you can stagger them one Bloom bulb then one Grow
bulb to get the greater range in spectrum. You might think that you
are going to lose lumens by switching to T5's but if you do the math,
taking into consideration that your lumens are reduced by half for every
foot that you are away from the canopy. A 4ft (8) tube T5 set up has
just slightly more usable lumens to a 1000W HPS system.
There is
one down side to these beauties that needs to be mentioned. You will
not get the light penetration that you would from an HPS. The way to
solve this is to scrog your plants using some trellis netting. We will
